We are glad to share our impressions from an extraordinary event that recently took place at European Medical School.The facilitation of focus groups of women leaders titled “A Career Roadmap for Women’s Leadership in Higher Education in Ukraine’ was an important step in providing equal opportunities for women in academia.
The event was organized by the British Council using an innovative facilitation technique in the LEGO game format. This approach not only encouraged active participation but also allowed attendees to visualize their ideas and suggestions, creating a constructive dialogue in a relaxed atmosphere. We have adopted these innovative methods at IEU and apply them in the training of students at the European Business School!
Identifying barriers and developing the potentialDuring sessions, participants were able to discuss the barriers faced by female leaders at higher education institutions in Ukraine and the UK. This significant discussion allowed us to reveal key challenges and develop methods for developing the potential of higher education institutions in Ukraine.
Career roadmapsOne of the main results of our work is the creation of career roadmaps for female leaders in higher education. These maps will be a valuable resource for future generations of women desiring to succeed in academia.
