Must-know tips

All complaints (appeals) are considered from the perspective of whether the violation takes place or not. All decisions should be based on evidence, and the university should prove the violation.

All students involved in procedures are allowed to bring an eyewitness to any meeting or proceeding. It can be a supervisor, lecturer, members of the Student Parliament, or any other person at student’s choice. All students will be provided with specific tips on representatives involved in disciplinary procedures.

The university ensures the adoption of consecutive decisions regarding penalties and sanctions, receiving guidelines for common sanctions imposed for violation of rules and factors that can make a sanction more or less severe. The guide to sanctions is publicly available and transparent.

During the disciplinary investigation, respondent students may have to limit communication with other students or may obtain limited access to certain premises, facilities or services with the application of the preventive measure procedure. Participating parties will be provided with necessary information.

If students are dissatisfied with the disciplinary process, they have an opportunity to submit a complaint or appeal against the decision that will be explained at the appropriate time.

Although disciplinary procedures may seem dreadful, they are aimed at protecting all members of the university community and ensuring the integrity of academic rewards and achievements of the university. Ignorance of the rules is never a reason for their violation. Thus, if you have any questions, contact us by
